‘All you do is write letters’: Marketing expert claims there’s a new viral side hustle you can get in on

In an age of numerous online side hustles, marketing guru Courtney, known as marketing.guru7 on TikTok, claims there’s a different lucrative option that doesn’t involve selling, recruiting or starting a multi-level marketing. In a viral TikTok video, she recommends letter writing as a profitable side gig. According to her, this role is essentially writing for large companies who’re in need of handwritten letters.

Each letter can fetch up to $5, with no limit to the number of letters an individual can write. Courtney adds that it takes approximately four minutes to write each letter from start to end, meaning one could potentially earn over $60 an hour.

The expert further claimed, along with this writing gig, the possibility of an affiliates program exists, allowing writers to earn an additional $100 for each person they refer. There are only a few prerequisites for getting on board. You must be at least 18 years old, reside in the U.S or Canada, and of course, be willing to write letters.

She added examples of people who have made this a success, with some raking in a weekly income of around $800 just by dedicating two hours in the morning. Another who has been doing this for two years earns $1500 a week, translating to an extra income of $6000 a month by working two hours in the morning and evening.

However, while this side hustle may sound attractive, several commenters highlighted a potential catch. Despite the potential profit, they claim there’s a sign-up cost that ranges between $199 and $250 to get started.

The Daily Dot tried reaching out to Courtney for a comment on the issue but didn’t get any response at the time.
