Peacock, the streaming platform, has appointed Casey Benesch as its Senior Vice President, Title Creative, and Marketing. Benesch will be accountable for crafting integrated marketing promotions for the service’s series and film offerings. Benesch will be under the supervision of the Chief Marketing Officer, Shannon Willett, who’s reshaping the team since last year’s recruitment of Zaid AI-Asady.
Benesch’s previous position was the Global Head of Series Marketing at Amazon MGM Studios, where he was in charge of strategy and development for the company’s original content. Moreover, he was part of Amazon as the Head of Comedy, a role he filled for both TV and film streams. Previously, Benesch served a similar role at Netflix, where he and his team launched Netflix Is A Joke, an initiative still being managed by the platform’s comedy launch team.
Further back, Benesch was the VP of Creative Marketing at Funny of Die and accrued significant professional experience at Creative Artists Agency, Deutsch LA, and Saatchi & Saatchi LA.
