PMG moves HQ to Dallas as it looks to continue strategic growth streak

PMG, a fast-growing digital marketing and technology firm based in North Texas, is planning for its next phase of growth, starting with a change in the location of its headquarters. The firm, which currently employs over 900 personnel, has a portfolio that includes work for big brands such as Nike, Apple, Whole Foods, and Sephora, as well as local businesses like Omni Hotels & Resorts, Dave & Buster’s, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. The company has grown steadily over the past 14 years and made two acquisitions last year that have positioned it for further expansion.

CEO George Popstefanov has led the PMG to lease 75,000 square feet at Kaizen Development Partners’ The Link at Uptown in Dallas. The company’s new office space, which spans over three floors, is designed to foster creativity and connection, providing a contrast to the more formal environment of the surrounding legal and financial firms. With room for about 400 employees, the space will augment PMG’s founding office in Fort Worth while marking a significant move for the firm.

Despite the company’s continuing ties to Fort Worth, Popstefanov acknowledged the benefits of the Dallas environment for young professionals. He emphasized the office’s design and development were geared toward facilitating new hybrid working styles, enabling team collaboration, and promoting transparency in work processes.

Popstefanov traced his journey from a foreign exchange student from Macedonia to the founder of a digital marketing firm with a significant presence in North Texas. After gaining experience in a small agency in Fort Worth, Popstefanov started PMG in 2010 with a modest $1,000. Fourteen years later, the company registered $4 billion in media billings and increased its revenue by over 20% in 2023, a commendable feat in a relatively sluggish year.

According to Popstefanov, PMG’s relentless focus on innovation and technological adoption has shaped its growth. The company has developed its marketing intelligence platform, Alli, to meet the burgeoning demand for marketing strategies with a digital-first lens. The mechanisms for team interactions in the new office also reflect the firm’s commitment to creating more integrated, modern and technologically-driven experiences for its clients.

Last year, PMG made strides in expanding its integrated marketing and tech capabilities by acquiring Dallas-based Camelot Strategic Marketing & Media and UK-based RocketMill. The acquisition added 400 people to the firm and solidified its global presence with offices in New York, London, Austin, Atlanta, Costa Rica, and Cleveland.

Popstefanov attributes the firm’s success to its dedicated employees and robust perks, including paid parental leave, wellness allowances, generous PTO, and a graduate leadership program.
