Salesforce has unveiled a new edition of its Marketing Cloud, called Marketing Cloud Growth, specifically designed to assist small businesses. The updated offering utilizes artificial intelligence to simplify tasks like audience segmentation, the creation and execution of email campaigns, optimization of campaign performance, and the generation of unified customer profiles.
The edition also comes with a prompt builder aimed at storing and managing reliable prompts within businesses. According to Salesforce, 70% of small to medium business (SMB) marketers are willing to pay more for tools that incorporate AI or automation.
Marketing Cloud Growth was developed after Salesforce identified common use cases that small businesses often lacked the resources to tackle, such as personalizing campaigns and conducting advanced testing. In addition, Salesforce is offering small businesses – specifically those with fewer than 200 employees and that possess Sales or Service Enterprise Edition – access to Data Cloud at no cost.
The new version of Marketing Cloud will be initially available in the U.S. and Canada, with plans to extend to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia by the end of the year. The feature set of Marketing Cloud Growth presents an opportunity for small businesses to integrate AI within their centralized marketing workflows, possibly indicating Salesforce’s desire to compete with other platforms that overtly court SMB clients like HubSpot.
