Taco Bell unveiled its 2024 marketing calendar, spotlighting plans to launch a collection of novel menu items throughout the year. These introductions include the Cantina Chicken Menu and an innovative Ice Cream Chocolate Taco derived from Salt Straw ice cream.
Taco Bell’s CEO, Sean Tresvant, revealed the calendar during “Live Mas Live”, an event inspired by Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. The showcase included NFL stars, musicians, and an announcement of TBX, a program involving young chefs set to reimagine Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap.
Departing from the industry norm, Taco Bell decided to share its full marketing calendar all at once. CMO Taylor Montgomery believes the company’s innovation is on par with Apple and sought a similar approach to revealing its plans. He remarked that Taco Bell fans were eager to see the company’s marketing strategies, prompting the company to “create this moment for all our fans”.
Emphasizing innovation, Taco Bell plans to launch several new items throughout the year, many of which revolve around chicken. The initial roll-outs will feature the Cantina Chicken Menu, a range of dishes boasting oven-roasted, shredded, Mexican-spiced chicken. Additional ingredients such as purple cabbage, white corn taco shell, and Avocado Verde Sauce will also make their debut.
The company plans to introduce a variety of chicken dishes, including Cheesy Chicken Crispanada and Chicken Nuggets. Other highlighted items consist of dessert innovations such as Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato and Dulce de Leche Cinnabon Delights. Additionally, the brand is looking forward to partnerships with Mexican spice mix Tajin and the hot sauce brand Secret Aardvark for future menu items.
